OUR ROLE

Mary Bloom – Fitness & Performance (MBFP) provides personal training and fitness advice, plant-based nutrition advice, habit changing and lifestyle coaching. The service provided is carefully tailored for your needs and goals, with your preferences in mind. We will do our best to ensure keeping you as involved as you like to be in the decision-making process regarding the course of action While the best consideration is made to ensure the programme is efficient, safe and effective, every human body responds to changes in a different way and results may differ. Your coach will always make sure to optimise the process and will expect from you to follow the recommendations.

As a part of providing our clients with the best service possible, we believe in staying always up to date, and never stop expanding our knowledge and expertise.

The service you get is a result of our knowledge and experience. We believe in transparency and are always obligated to the Code of Ethical Conduct for exercise professionals. In cases that exceed the limits of our expertise, you will be informed and you may be referred to see an appropriate professional. In some cases, you may be required to consult a professional in order for MBFP to be able to continue your training.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During your training, several methods of training and coaching will be introduced. You will take part in physical activity, whether with your personal trainer or by yourself (as agreed). You are NOT obligated to any of them and participation is strictly voluntary. Please inform your coach if anything feels wrong. Keep in mind that getting better involves pushing your body out of its comfort zone, so some degree of challenge and/or discomfort will always be there.

Part of the training process involves physical contact with your personal trainer for assisted stretches, musculoskeletal manipulation, form correction or spotting. If you’re not comfortable with that please do not hesitate to inform your coach. If contact will be necessary you will be informed, the need will be explained and your permission will be asked. You do not have to agree to any kind of contact (in possibilities of potential hazard common sense will be applied).

Exercise is known for improving health and physical conditions, but injuries can happen as well as previously unknown medical conditions may appear, therefore you will be asked to sign an informed consent form, stating you are aware of and accept the possible risks involved. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

You are welcome to contact us with any questions or support using any of the contact methods provided. Please note that response times may vary due to the nature of our work. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

YOUR ROLE

Using the help of a Personal Trainer is a huge step towards your goals, but you play the most important role in your success. Therefore, to make a change you must be willing to invest time, effort and willpower into your process, as well as follow the instructions that will be provided by your coach. If you have any challenges, please always keep us updated and we will work together on overcoming them.

PAYMENTS

MBFP is currently working with direct transfers or card payments. The card payments are processed using Stripe, and MBFP does not store your card details. All payments should be made at least 24 hours before the booked session unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Cancellations and Late Arrival

The time of the sessions will be agreed and booked in advance. Face-to-face sessions are usually 50-60 minutes. We will do our best to provide the most convenient time slots for each and every client, but sometimes we will need to compromise on a slightly less convenient time. It is always best to have set times and days of the week for your training, to ensure that those slots are reserved for you. For your convenience, Google Calendar appointment invitations will be emailed to you, but it is your responsibility to remember and arrive on time.

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way and you need to reschedule a session. If you wish to cancel a one-off session or rearrange a session then you must inform your coach at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled sessions. Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be deducted from your scheduled amount of sessions remaining. Cancellations should be made by calling or texting MBFP on 07305769749. Please do not leave voice mail. The cancellation policy will be adhered to in all cases when you are unable to attend a session, including illness, work or family commitments.

A notice period can be waived or reduced at the sole discretion of MBFP. Cancellations directly affect your coach’s income, as this time could have been used by another client.

 

In case of a late arrival, the session will end at the originally planned time, unless your trainer informed otherwise, regarding a particular case.

Refund Policy

Although it is always sad to say goodbye, we understand that things might not always work out the best way for various reasons. We currently operate on a monthly/4-week payment basis, with no contract, so you can cancel the services at any time. If you pre-paid for several months you will receive a full refund for the months that you haven’t used, with at least 1 week written notice from you. Months that you’ve started or a shorter notice cannot be refunded unless stated otherwise in writing by your trainer. In case a refund has been confirmed, please allow 4 weeks for the refund to be processed.
In case that service is cancelled by the trainer, the relative price will be refunded for any remaining sessions. The trainer is allowed to cancel a block of sessions in any case of physical or verbal attack, sexual assault or other offences against the trainer - with no refund.

Your personal data

We are currently working on ensuring our compliance with the GDPR (2018) guidelines. If you have any questions regarding the reasons certain details are needed and how they are used or stored, please do not hesitate to ask. Your personal details are stored securely and will never be passed to a third party without your permission.

Liability

You must complete a PAR-Q before commencing any exercise programme and you confirm that you are in good physical condition and that you are capable of engaging in active or passive exercise and that such exercise would not be detrimental to your health, safety or physical comfort.

You are responsible for providing disclosing relevant information accurately and in sufficient detail for MBFP to assess any risks to your health and MBFP cannot be held liable in any way for inaccurately disclosed, partially disclosed, undeclared or unknown information or medical conditions.

If you bring children of any age to the session, you are personally responsible for them and MBFP accepts no liability for any damage including but not limited to injury, disability, sickness or death.

MBFP excludes all liability for death, injury or damage caused by you carrying out exercises incorrectly, contrary to the instructions or advice of the health professional or carried out without the supervision of an MBFP Coach. For the avoidance of doubt, MBFP does not exclude or limit any liability for (a) personal injury (including sickness and death) where such injury results from negligence or wilful default by MBFP. MBFP will do their best to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them but does not accept for any errors and omissions and reserve the right to change information, specifications and descriptions of listed packages and services.

Photos and videos

Photos of videos of you may be taken during our training. They may be used either for performance review purposes or for advertising. By undertaking MBFP services you agree to release the rights to pictures and videos of yourself taken by MBFP coaches.
